The Peace That Thanksgiving Can Bring....If One Allows It

This day before Thanksgiving finds me full of peace, joy, gratitude, and excitement for great food!  I am so lucky to have the life that I do.  I don't quite know what I have ever done to deserve it, but I am no longer going to question or try to understand it, I am only going to embrace it.  I chose to be at peace and thankful, even for my struggles, which are many. I have chosen to think about what I have, instead of what I do not have.  I have my health with some aches and pains that only age can bring.  A wonderful home, which I love, but with no bathroom faucet, leaves that need to be raked, and a few windows that need replacing, but has a beautiful fireplace that is often in use, a great kitchen and lots of light and love.  A fabulous business, which can get exhausting, but is growing, provides me with a living, and allows me to meet such wonderful people.  A big family, that has had a lot of loss, but on the upswing, it has grown by leaps and bounds.  I have friends who I love and who make me laugh through life's ups and downs.  I have a house and yard full of animals who continually provide me with a lot of funny stories, and unconditional love, even though at times, they eat better than I do.  So this Thanksgiving and Holiday Season, look at the glass half full instead of half empty, give instead of looking to receive, and a miracle will happen. You will find a great peace and deep joy within yourself.  Happy Thanksgiving!  Peace, Karen
