What is it about Mother's Day?

It is Mother's Day and I am having a great day!  Not because of gifts or celebrations but because I am grateful for everything that I have in my life.  My children, my family, my health, my friends, my house, my business, my animals, I could go on and on.  It is a day that I spend quietly with myself. Phone calls from my children are wonderful, but not necessary.  I know that they love me.  I do think that one of them forgot, but oh well, I talk to him all the time and ,of course ,I will give him a the business for fun, but really, it's not such a big deal. My heart, though, goes out to all of those who find Mother's Day difficult.  I guess that I could to if I let it be that way.  My mom passed on Mother's Day 26 years ago, my sister passed 19 years ago, so women in my family are a little scarce, but it doesn't stop me from celebrating my life.  I am more than a mother.  I am a fabulous woman and a wonderful friend with so much to give.  So on this Mother's Day 2015 I am here to say that whether you are a mother, or not a mother, wish to be a mother, or simply can't be one. Whether you have a mother of your own, or you don't have the kind  of mother that you want, or maybe, like me, your mother has passed, you are not alone and your life and this day are worth celebrating.  Ciao, Karen
