Healing A Broken Heart

Broken hearts come in many forms.  It may be the ending of a relationship, a loss of a loved one, a realization that a friend wasn't really a friend, an illness, a loss of one's self or even a loss of a pet. No matter what causes a heart to break, it still breaks.  Mine's broken and not just by one person or incident, but by a series of events that I truly had no control over.  And that is where the healing needed to begin.  Knowing that I had no control over it, it was people being who they are and doing what they do.  For awhile there, I had to tell myself that about 100 times a day, but it has gotten easier and some days and even weeks go by when it is not even a thought and when I actually have a great deal of compassion for all who were involved.  Healing a broke heart is a tough road filled with great emotion, but I want to heal so that my heart can soar again.  I am filled with belief, hope, love, compassion, kindness, and trust.  I just gave it to the wrong people! To be honest, my life is much better served without them!  Cheers, and here is one of my favorite song quotes....Love is not a whisper or a weakness...Love is strong!   Karen :)
