Letting Go!

A very long time ago I was an art and music teacher in a small Catholic school.  I only taught for a short time, but in that time something profoundly changed me and I would like to believe that things profoundly changed for others as well.  Before my students entered my class they read a sign that said "Let Go".  What I wanted them to do was to let go of everything that they thought they knew about themselves and for just an hour be whoever they really wanted to be.  I wanted them to believe that anything was possible.  The artwork and the music that came from that room was just amazing and yet it had nothing to do with me.  You see, I don't really know how to draw or paint, play a musical instrument or read music like a teacher should, I just had a love for teaching and showing children their worth.  It is so easy for children to accept the goodness in themselves. I find that they are innocent, loving, honest, and wise.  As adults, where we get into trouble is when we start doubting are self worth or we let someone or some circumstance define who we are.  I am learning to "Let Go" and to see my worth and live accordingly.  Things start to fall in line when we let our true, beautiful selves out into the light!  Let Go and let amazing things happen!   Karen
