For The Love Of Cinnamon!

I absolutely love cinnamon!  It is a spice that I reach for in my pantry all of the time.  I use it to flavor rice, in my oatmeal, to make my famous Mexican coffee, to add a little something extra to a stew or sauce, and in my hot chocolate!  The ways to use it are endless.  You can use it ground or you can use cinnamon sticks.  There is nothing better before going to bed than a mug of hot milk steeped with a cinnamon stick.  The amazing thing that I have been discovering is that the herbs and spices that I adore are actually powerfully good for you. Cinnamon is one of those spices.  The more that I talk to customers, the more that I learn. Did you know that cinnamon is thought to help lower your bad cholesterol levels and can also help those with Type 2 Diabetes by lowering blood sugar levels? Just smelling cinnamon can boost your cognitive function and memory. In large doses, it can be toxic, but a little pinch here and there might be a really good thing.
