Fresh from the oven!
My loaves resting before they went into the oven.
I really don't know what has gotten into me, but bread making is becoming a fun thing for me to do. I guess that I always thought that it was so difficult and time consuming that I never gave it the chance that it deserved. What has inspired me though are all the people coming into the store talking about bread. I have asked a lot of questions and have been given great advice. The recipe for these beautiful loaves came from the book "Artisan Bread In Five Minutes a Day" by Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois that was suggested by a customer. I will be forever grateful for that suggestion! It is such a simple recipe and oh so yummy that I just needed to play it forward. It honestly took the stress out of bread making for me. I made the dough before I left for work, let it rise in my oven, and when my work day was over, I had two lovely loaves to devour with my spaghetti and meatballs. Let me tell you that there is nothing like the smell and taste of freshly baked bread in your oven. You can find the recipe under "Recipes..The Basics" section or just click the link below and it will take you right there. I hope that I have inspired you to try the art of bread making. Happy Baking! Karen
