For The Love Of Tarts!

Even though winter is still a force where I live, my heart and soul are heading into spring.  As my heart and soul go, so does what I am cooking in my kitchen.  This weekend was all about tarts.  Sweet and savory, I did them both.  Tarts are great to make.  They make wonderful appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. You can make large tarts, small tarts, and even individual tarts, the possibilities are endless.  If you have a few tart shell recipes in your recipe file, you can really explore with your fillings, especially with savory or fruit tarts.  Of course, I had to do my favorite chocolate tart first as a final farewell to February. Who doesn't love a fabulous chocolate dessert.  I even eat this tart for breakfast with my coffee!
