Smoked Paprika is a staple in my pantry. I love it's deep, rich, mild flavor and use it as a base for a lot of my cooking. It is amazing to realize that paprika is just finely ground dried chili peppers and smoked paprika is paprika that has been smoked in the traditional way, slowly over oak. I use it as a base in stews and as seasoning when making fried chicken. I love adding it to potato salad and to garlic bread. Anytime that you want to add a little smokey goodness to your cooking, smoked paprika is the way to go.
